I liked this plugin, but it appears to be trying in some way to be adding geodata into image files?
At the bottom of the Add Image screen it says “OSM plugin added: GPX / KML”
It also then appears to insert data like FC0000001 into the Image Name, and creates a permalink to websiteURL/FC0000001.
It also adds FC0000001 into the image caption.
    What is going on here?
This is a real killer for me.
It’s screwing up my image loads with this, I really don’t want this.
I think you should remove this, or provide a setting to turn on/off whatever it’s doing.

I disabled the plugin and I still have FC0000001 being added to the image.
So it may not be the plugin.
But I still need to understand what the plugin is doing to image files please.

    Hello Paul,
the WP OSM Plugin does nothing to your image files!

The message “OSM plugin added: GPX/KML” just tells you that the OSM plugin added this file types to your site as valid types – but sometimes other mechanism (eg .htaccess) can also block this types.

Anyway – OSM plugin does not influence your uploaded images.

You’re correct. Eventually I found that the weird metadata was coming from comments within the image metadata.
